About

An independent international publisher of crime, thrillers and stories from between places.

Stories that travel.

Mavenhill was founded in 2020, building on the list first published as Citation Books in 2013, and has its head office in Beverly Hills, California. We publish fiction and nonfiction for readers who like their stories to cross borders: crime and thrillers with a strong sense of place, the classics made new, and guides written by the people who know a city best.

We work with authors, translators, narrators and publishing partners around the world, and our books are licensed into other languages and formats. Away with Words.
