Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie (1890 to 1976) is the best-selling novelist of all time. She wrote 66 detective novels and 14 story collections, created Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, and wrote The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in history. She learned about poisons as a hospital dispensary volunteer during the First World War, and used that knowledge from her very first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles.
